EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA — Sydney Galleger, a 17-year-old high school student, suffered a heart attack after a routine wisdom teeth extraction on June 9. She was initially thought to have died until her mother, Diane Galleger, clarified on June 15 that her daughter was comatose.
Unfortunately, Sydney passed away on June 16 after hovering between life and death. According to a CaringBridge post from the Galleger family, Sydney’s funeral will be on Saturday June 20.
Though extremely rare, there have been multiple cases all over the world of wisdom teeth extraction-related deaths.
